HOWTO: Setup a Mobile Spawn Point

From BattlegroundWiki

A Mobile Spawn Point (MSP) allows for infantry to spawn closer to the battle then they would if they were to spawn at a Forward Base or town. A MSP can be set up with Opel, Bedford, Laffly or 251c.

Creating an MSP

In order to create a MSP you must first create or join a mission and use one of the following vehicles:

  • Opel Blitz (German truck)
  • Sd Kfz 251c (German Half-track)
  • Bedford (British Truck)
  • Laffly (French ATV Hauler)

It is important to note when choosing a mission that it does not already have an MSP deployed, as only one MSP can be active at a time. If you do choose a mission with an existing MSP (or if one becomes active while you are driving to target) then you will have to wait until the other MSP undeploys before you can setup your vehicle as the MSP for the mission.

You must then be between 400m and 1400m from missions target. When you have found a good spot to deploy that provides both you and the spawning infantry cover from the enemy, press the Deploy Key (Default key is D). If you are within the acceptable range of the target, you will get a message from the server in your chat bar and "DEPLOYED" will appear in the top left corner of your screen. Otherwise you will get a message from the server telling you that you need to relocate.

When you are deployed, infantry on the same mission as you can choose to spawn on you. When you need to relocate or move the vehicle, press the Deploy Key again to undeploy the vehicle. This will also remove you as the active MSP.

Rules to create an MSP

  • Where you want to create an mobile spawn point MUST have a valid link from the town you are leaving
    • Example, you cannot create an MSP from Bergen-Op-Zoom > Kalmthout FB because there is no link
  • You must be within a specific distance from your target (visible on the map), you will be informed by the chat bar text when you are in range
