MIA

Acronym for 'Missing In Action', a mission outcome where you are too far from any friendly facility to get an RTB or a RES. Any points you have accumulated during your mission will be reduced by 25% and your unit will not be reserved.

MSP

In game shorthand for Mobile Spawn Points.

Mobile Spawn Points

Attacking and defending infantry are not limited to the barracks or depots, nor even the predictable locations of the FBs to enter the game world. They may also use Mobile Spawn Points (MSPs). MSPs allow the attacker or defender to set up a staging location almost anywhere that they can drive a truck, subject to certain limitations. Only infantry may spawn at MSPs. They take some communication and cooperation between players to employ properly, but they are a powerful tool for putting resources where they can be effective without being forced to spawn in predictable (i.e. vulnerable) locations. MSPs cannot be captured, they can only be destroyed.

  • MSP Rules
    • You must be stopped
    • You must be between 400m and 1500m from any Enemy Facility
    • There must be a link between your Origin and Target (Towns connected)

Remember, MSPs can be setup for defensive purposes as well especially if you fear that the town is about to be overrun. Having a defensive MSP can sometimes cause the enemy to become confused as large numbers of infantry appear from an area that they where not expecting.
